How it works:
Each H.E.L.P. workbook uses clean, vocabulary rich, socially relevant lyrics that introduce various social justice and literacy development activities that can be used across all subject areas. Pre- and Post-test assessments are available to help determine students' reading levels.
1. Introduce featured artist and song within H.E.L.P. student guide.
2. Students will read the lyrics as the song is being played aloud.
3. Students will briefly discuss song's themes and vocabulary words, then work independently or in cooperative reading groups to complete over 60 literacy activities scaffolded across 4 reading levels, K-12.
